Starting our Europe trip.

Alrighty guys, that was our last post from the UK! As of this morning Claire and I are in Amsterdam starting our two months of travelling around Europe. The farewells were long and hard, but truly they were still easier than expected because we have made some very real connections with people over here and I have no doubt that our friendship will continue and we will see them all again before long.

For our first stop like I said Claire and I are in Amsterdam. We are staying with a friend from Uni at home who has been living here since February. Pete has an ideal two room pad right in the city (Rembrant Plein if anyone wants to google it) and is being extreamly genorous in letting us stay with him for two weeks! He had some spare keys cut for us so we can come and go whilst he is working in a 'coffee shop'.

We will post when we can but for now I will just give you an insight to our itnerary for the next 8 weeks.

May 18th: We fly from Stansted to Amsterdam to stay with Pete for 2 weeks. Also on the cards during this time  possible day trips to Germany.

May 31st: We fly to Rome for 4 nights.

June 4th: We fly from Rome to Volos (Greece) and from there take a bus to Athens.

June 5th: Our ferry leaves for Santorini at 7.30am and we might be at the Island by 4ish. We are staying on Santorini for 11 nights, one of which is my 21st birthday!

June 15th: We ferry back to Athens and spend just one night there.

June 16th: We spend overnight on a bus to Igoumenitsa on the west coast of Greece.

June 17th: Another ferry takes us to Bari in Italy. We then have 11 nights in which we intend to make our way up the country so that on...

June 29th: We can catch our flight from Milan to Prague where we stay for 3 nights.

July 2nd: We take a flight from Prague to Lyon in France for another 3 nights.

July 5th: We fly back to London to spend all our money before we come home on...

July 13th, we will land in Sydney on July 15th.

Claire and I in our very bare room, all packed up for 2 months on the road!
